Recent studies at the Orebro University of Sweden examined 428 subjects on the relation between their personalities and eye color. They discovered that the eye color depends on the same genes that form our frontal lobes, and that there is very similar behavior in people with the same eye color.
Dr. Anthony Fallone of Edinburgh University also examined the links between eye color and personalities. He said: “The eye is so closely neurologically linked to the brain that you might call it the only part of our brain you can see from the outside. It seems to hold vital clues to our brain function.”
Here’s what the eye colors say about your personality:
Blue-eyed people are competitive and fierce, even egotistical, according to Medical Daily. Studies have shown that these people have great inner and physical strength, and a pilot study by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine suggests that women with light-colored eyes can handle childbirth and pain better.
Dark brown\black eyes
People who have this eye color are natural born leaders. This color is rare, and often perceived as mysterious, but according to Medical Daily, these people are agreeable. The dark color comes from the melanin in your body – the more you have, the darker the eye color.
Brown eyes are also linked to higher levels of melanin in your system, and often indicate agreeable and assertive people. Here’s an interesting fact about brown eyes: according to a study, people with this eye color tend to sleep two hours less than people with lighter-colored eyes.
This color varies somewhere between green and brown. It is a unique and rare eye color, and indicates people who are spontaneous, confident and independent. Dr. Matthew Leach of the University of South Australia says that hazel eye color occurs due to materials in the person’s bloodstream broken down because of liver imbalance. If you have this eye color, you may have digestive problems too.
Gray eyes are a dimmer version of blue eyes and are quite rare. Dark grey eye color is due to more melanin in the front of the eyes, while the lighter-colored version has less melanin. If you have gray eyes you will have to work harder than others, and you deeply care about the people closest to you. Dark gray eyes indicate a well-balanced person or a kind of Jekyll\Hyde situation deep inside you.
Green eyes are perceived as sexy. The balanced melanin makes this eye color seem strong and cautious like the blue eyes, and agreeable and dominant like the brown ones. According to Dr. Hamadi Kallel, and ophthalmologist surgeon, people with green eyes are mysterious, original, creative and handle pressure very well. A study on sex appeal of eye colors by the Impulse Corporation in Los Angeles discovered that the green eyes are sexiest, and the most popular choice for eye color change.
