The man in the picture is called Bernardo Lapallo, and believe it or not, he is 114 years old! But, even at this age, Bernardo is more vital than most young men – he can move without anyone’s help (he walks 2.5 km. every day!), and he keeps his mental health in shape by reading books and solving crossword puzzles! Amazing, isn’t it?

Bernardo still has his teeth and doesn’t have any wrinkles. He says that genetics are probably the reason for his incredible health and longevity – his mother lived for 105 years, his grandmother liver for 107, while his father died at 99. His father was a herbalist who gave Bernardo advice on how to stay healthy and vital when he was younger. The secret, Bernardo explains, is in a diet rich in fruit and vegetables, drinking a lot of water and getting proper rest.
